UConn made a strong second-half push, but the Creighton Bluejays led most of the way in Friday night’s Big East Tournament semifinal, defeating the Huskies, 71-62.

One night after UConn closed its quarterfinal win over Villanova on a 22-5 run, the Huskies were absent for long stretches of the first 30 minutes and dug too deep a hole. Creighton went up by 17 before the Huskies came storming back with a 12-0 run spanning about four minutes in the second half.
