Freshman forward Isaiah Abraham has announced his intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal, seeking new opportunities after one season with UConn. The 6-foot-7 wing from Gainesville, Virginia played for Paul VI High School before UConn. He was known for his versatility and defensive intensity.

Abraham appeared in nine games throughout the season, averaging 1.6 points and 0.6 rebounds per game. After playing against a few weaker squads in non-conference play, Isaiah did not play in the months of December, January, or February, eventually seeing the court again in very limited minutes at the end of games aginst a few Big East squads in March.

UConn's deep roster at his position contributed to his reduced role on the court. However, the wing looks less certain at UConn for next season. Alex Karaban and Liam McNeeley could potentially head to the NBA and the departure of Abraham adds to UConn’s uncertainty at the position.
