The UConn men’s and women’s teams will both play exhibition games at Mohegan Sun Arena on Columbus Day, Monday October 13, 2025. The games will be played as part of the Hall of Fame Exhibition Games in conjunction with the Naismith Hall of Fame.

The NCAA has been overhauling the rules for exhibition games and “secret scrimmages”, and starting this season schools can play any teams they want for their 2 exhibition games, including other D1 teams without needing to get a waiver or play for charity. Last year, the UConn men’s team played Rhode Island in what was known as the HOF Enshrinement game at Mohegan Sun on a similar date.

The UConn men have only played BC once since the Eagles left the Big East for the ACC following the 2005 season. That game was in the 2013 semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic at MSG. The Huskies won that game by 2 with Ryan Boatright having some late game heroics, and Shabazz Napier and Deandre Daniels combining for 43 points. The women haven’t played BC since 2005 in an early season tournament game played at Gampel

Last season, the BC men’s team was one of the worst high major basketball teams in the country, finishing 181st on KenPom. The women’s team had a NET of 74 and missed the NCAA tournament. The teams have not made the NCAA tournament since 2009 and 2006, respectively.
