Huskies Strengthen 2026 Class with Latest Commitments
I promise I’m not just copy and pasting from articles over the past couple of weeks. The football Huskies are loading up on class of 2026 prospects, adding three more this week—with more on the way (subscribers will already know from the c/o 2026 recruiting thread). Each new commit has a unique story, from a position switch to an under-the-radar Canadian talent. Take a look below at the newest Huskies.
Potentially the crown jewel of the class, Thomas at one point in his recruitment received offers from schools like Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Tennessee. He did not publicize any other visits, so it’s unclear if any of those offers were still commitable. Nevertheless, Thomas is a Husky, and rated an .8756 by 247Sports’ composite score, which would place him as the ninth-highest ever recruit, just ahead of class of 2025 DL Aubrey Melvin. The Atlanta native caught 36 passes for 505 yards and five TDs this season for traditional GA 6A power Westlake.
The DB from Seffner, FL locked in an official visit early in April, which was good, because Michigan State came calling late in the recruiting process. All of his offers came in 2025, starting with FAU, followed by FIU, UConn, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Southern Miss, and UNLV. Martinez is 6’3”, great size for a DB, and looks to join Cam Chadwick as a DB who got significant playing time as a freshman. Martinez is highly athletic, clocking a 34.3” vertical and reached a top speed of 20.71 mph at spring camps, and may very well end up being a prospect teams wish they didn’t miss out on.
Vivier, the Ontario prospect attending school in Maryland, became the second OL commit of the cycle, joining Luke Hatfield. He was offered by OL assistant Christian Pace on 5/21, and announced his official visit on 5/24. Vivier also has offers from Towson, Maine, Temple, Sacred Heart, and Marshall. Vivier also plays DL for St James, totaling 41 tackles this season, five for a loss, to go with two sacks. But the key for Vivier is his 6’6” 285 frame. Plenty of size and athleticism for OC/OL coach Gordon Sammis to work with, and he’s worked with plenty over the past few years.
