Run the dang ball!” It’s been the mantra of UConn football since its inception as an FBS program. Always a run-first team, the Huskies rushed for 2,590 yards as a team—11 more than they had through the air (so close to perfect balance)—averaging 199.2 yards per game. That number is slightly dragged down by a season-low 40 yards against Wake Forest. UConn had a three-headed monster in Cam Edwards, Durell Robinson, and Mel Brown.
