UConn Revives a Delaware Series with Significant Football History

Delaware was a dominant FCS program before moving up to FBS this year. The Blue Hens have a long history of beating UConn when both were in the FCS ranks.

The University of Delaware and the University of Connecticut renew their football acquaintance on September 13th in Newark, DE. The matchup at Delaware Stadium will be the first time that the schools have played in 27 years. In 2027, Delaware will head north for a contest in East Hartford.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens and Huskies met frequently in the second half of the twentieth century, playing 27 times between 1951 and 1998.
