The Football Huskies are on the cusp of bowl eligibility, needing just one more win to get the third bowl bid in four seasons, something that hasn’t happened since they went to four conecutive bowls from 2007-2010. During that span, they won nine games just once, and they have an opportunity to get back-to-back nine win seasons for the first time ever.
ESPN metrics were impressed with the road win over BC, with FPI moving the Huskies up six spots to 69, and SP+ all the way up to 56.

Fox Sports 97.9’s Adam Giardino posts weekly FPI updates, and the Huskies have over a 12% chance of winning out.
Joe Fagnano earned Manning Star of the Week Award honors for the second consecutive game.
Fagnano also won the New England Gold Helmet Award for his performance
Friend of the pod G5 Hive has the Huskies in their G5 top 10
LB Bryun Parham made the PFF G5/National Team of the Week
Parham also was the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week, the second Husky to earn that award, joining Sio Moore after the WVU win in 2010.
Charts!
This where I nerd out some more. Fagnano has hugely improved his efficiency YoY.
Joe is also among the best QBs nationally in terms of rating.
Parker Fleming with a new chart, the most efficient teams, and UConn is in the best quadrant to be in, albeit just barely.
Fleming also has this game as pretty even in net success rate, which is a metric that strips out turnovers and big plays and measures down-to-down football.
