Coaching continuity has pushed the Huskies to history

When Dan Hurley went up on stage to accept the 2024 Naismith Coach of the Year Award — the first UConn men’s basketball coach to do so — he made sure to say one thing loud and clear.

“It’s an organizational award. I have the best coaching staff in the country,” Hurley said. “Kimani Young and Luke Murray are as good as there is in the professional, Tom Moore too. I have an incredible coaching staff that helps you bring in the right people.
