Zach Potter named UConn football GM

The former UFL and Sacramento State general manager is one of the youngest personnel leaders in the game.

UConn football has named Zach Potter its general manager. Potter was previously in this role at Sacramento State, the new FBS team that was led by head coach Brennan Marion in 2025.

Before Sacramento State, Potter worked under former UConn football coach Skip Holtz as the general manager of the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions.

Potter worked as a student assistant at Nebraska and Iowa Western CC, and worked in the UFL while completing his degree.
