Tristen Newton (G-League)

Newton scored 21 points on 9-of-19 shooting and tied a career-high five steals in the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (Houston Rockets G-League affiliate) 126-121 victory over the South Bay Lakers (Los Angeles Lakers G-League affiliate). Since signing a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets back on January 3rd, Newton is averaging 22.6 points per game, 64-132 from the field (48.8%), 20-58 from three (34.3%), 18-20 from the free throw line (90.0%), 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.5 steals per game in eight games with the Vipers.

Liam McNeeley (G-League)

After missing one game due to a toe injury, McNeeley returned to the floor Saturday night and recorded his third G-League double-double of the season. He finished with 19 points while grabbing 10 rebounds on 5-of-14 shooting, 2-of-8 from three and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. The performance helped the Greensboro Swarm's (Charlotte Hornets G-League affiliate) to a 125-123 "Elam Ending" victory against the Osceola Magic (Orlando Magic G-League affiliate).

Liam struggled in the first half, scoring just four points on 1-of-6 shooting, but he turned it around in the fourth quarter and Elam Ending period by scoring 13 points, including the two game-winning free throws to reach the target score of 125.

Donovan Clingan

Clingan recorded his 14th double-double of the season after scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the Portland Trail Blazers 132-116 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Clingan was efficient from two (7-of-7), but went just 1-for-7 from three. The seven three-point attempts are a new career-high for the former Husky big man. He also dished out four assists.

Stephon Castle

Steph was held to just eight points on 2-of-8 shooting, 2-of-4 from behind the arc and 2-of-6 from the charity stripe in the San Antiono Spurs 126-123 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Steph also grabbed six rebounds, handed out nine assists and picked up three steals. He fouled out for the third time this season. Castle is 6-of-11 from three over his last three games (54.5%). The Spurs (29-13) are currently tied for second place in the Western Conference with the Denver Nuggets, trailing the one-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder by five and a half games.
