UConn football had three QBs visit over the past couple of weekends and received a commitment from one the staff will hope is the QB of the future in JD Brown. The Santa Rosa Beach, FL native was offered by UConn in April and was invited to visit in early May after OC Nunzio Campanile and QB coach Marquel Blackwell watched him throw in person and did an in-home visit.
UCONN 2027 RECRUITING COMMITMENT LIST
Brown helped his South Walton HS team rebound from a 2-8 record in 2024, improving to 8-4 in 2025. Brown threw for 2,558 yards, completing 64% of his passes, while throwing for 29 TDs and rushing for six more.
A three-star recruit per 247Sports, Brown has received offers from South Alabama, Tulane, Charlotte, Boston College, Colorado State, Troy, East Carolina, Southern Miss, North Texas, Navy, Toledo (new staff), Missouri State, and Georgia Southern, in addition to several FCS offers. Brown also took a visit to Boston College following his UConn OV.
