The Drew Carey Show used to loudly exclaim to the world in their theme song that “Cleveland Rocks,” and UConn football is hoping that expression is true, as they land a commitment from Cleveland’s TE Joe Moore. Attending state seminfinalist St Edward, Moore stands at 6’4” 235 and at the UA Next event in Ohio, ran a 4.55 40 yard dash, a 4.28 shuttle, and had a 106.7” broad jump, showing his athleticism.
Moore has earned 23 offers since January from the likes of Charlotte, Kent State, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Buffalo, Air Force, Army, Washington State, Miami (OH), Duke, Ohio, UAB, Bowling Green, Western Kentucky, Toledo, Georgia State, Delaware, Florida Atlantic, plus many FCS offers.
Moore caught 11 passes for 187 yards and 4 TDs, showing a penchant for big plays, averaging 17 yards per catch. He has a wide catch radius at 6’4” 235, and great speed for his size, running a 4.55 40 yard dash. His performance helped St Edward to an 11-3 record, falling to eventual state champion Olentangy Orange in the state semifinals.
