Observers of the UConn Football Class of 2027 will note one major difference from previous years; size. That size differential has largely been noted on the defensive side, but the offense didn’t seem to want to be left out, and they got in on the action with Arizona WR Jaydon Rawls. The Columbia, MS native moved to Arizona this year, and looks to be interested in coming back to the East Coast.
The decision to head to Arizona has paid dividends, as all of his offers have come this calendar year, receiving offers from UMass, Cal, Sacramento State, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico State, and Oregon State. Rawls was scheduled to visit Utah this weekend, and as of Thursday evening (June 11th), it was unclear if that visit was still on.
Rawls was excited by Jason Candle and company’s vision for the future, telling Storrs Central “As soon as I got there, Coach Candle and his staff made it clear they want to change the program and I want to be a part of that.”
