The UConn Huskies have secured a key addition from the 2027 class with the commitment of NaVorro Bowman Jr.. Bowman is a scoring point guard from California, who previously lived in the DMV. He visited UConn last weekend, and committed to the Huskies without seeing any other schools this fall.
Bowman attends Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, and played for Team Why Not on the summer EYBL AAU circuit. He averaged 22.5 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game for Notre Dame last season. He was chosen to compete for Team USA in this summer’s FIBA U17 World Cup, winning gold in Istanbul, Turkiye.

NaVorro is a consensus 5* prospect, ranked the 11th best recruit in the Rivals Industry composite rankings and ranked 11th or 12th in all three major recruiting services rankings. UConn offered him a scholarship in late July, and the recruitment progressed quickly.
UConn has their point guard for the class. Scheduled official visits from King Gibson, Micah Gordon, and Cayden Daughtry will no longer happen.
