UConn football (1-1) will be making its first road trip of the season on Saturday after beginning the Jason Candle era with two expected results at home. Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is the destination for Saturday, when UConn will meet a Southern Miss team that also started its season with an FCS blowout and a power-conference loss.
The Golden Eagles (1-1) are also a rebuilt team under new head coach Blake Anderson.
