Huskies Add QB out of VA
The Huskies got a nice Mother’s Day surprise in a commitment from VA QB Ksaan Farrar. Farrar, out of Virginia Beach, VA, chose UConn over offers from Buffalo, Charlotte, East Carolina, Liberty, and Marshall. Farrar led his Green Run HS squad to a 12-1 record, and an appearance in the VA Class 5 Region A finals. He threw for 3,086 yards and 36 TDs, to go along with 577 rushing yards and 7 TDs. Farrar is the top rated QB in the state of Virginia according to 247Sports, which has him rated a three star (85).
Farrar joins a UConn QB room that includes redshirt sophomore Nick Evers, redshirt freshman Tucker McDonald, and true freshman Cole Welliver, provided they all choose to stay next season. Senior Joe Fagnano would have another year of eligibility should he choose to use it. The Huskies added Evers this offseason, after losing last year’s leading passer Ta’Quan Roberson to the portal. Evers is a dual threat QB, and Farrar appears to be in that mold.
