Dan Hurley's reasoning for rejecting the LA Lakers' offer

Fifteen years ago, Dan Hurley was a high school coach, making around $50,000 per year, he said. This offseason, he fielded offers from the University of Kentucky and the Los Angeles Lakers that would have guaranteed him $70 million or more.

But he chose to stay at UConn.

“In the end, it was just too many reasons to be here at UConn,” he said.
