UConn's frontcourt will see some competition for playing time

Over the last two seasons, the Huskies have benefitted from having two quality bigs on the roster. This year should be no different, though we may see more of an even split in playing time between the two.

The last two college basketball seasons ended with the UConn Huskies cutting down the nets as a two-headed monster at center helped them do it both times. In 2023, Adama Sanogo started while Donovan Clingan contributed off the bench, and in 2024 Clingan started while Samson Johnson provided the frontcourt bench spark.

This year, Johnson is joined by Michigan transfer Tarris Reed Jr., and playing time up top may see a more even split as a result.
