Evers, Edwards, and team tackling are showing signs of improvement

The two players are at different stages of their careers, but both are in key positions with a chance to make a serious impact over the rest of this season. If UConn can continue to improve its tackling, the defense will be in a good place.

UConn football is 1-2 after three weeks, with no surprising results, though the Huskies did manage to beat expectations with a close loss on the road against Duke.

In his weekly press conference, head coach Jim Mora insisted on “no moral victories,” adding that he has a responsibility to make sure “that nobody feels okay about losing small” as they get ready for a six-game home stand where the first three games should decide the outcome of the season.
