What They’re Saying About UConn Week 12 - Bye Week Edition

New feature here, aggregating all the various things I would normally retweet or put in the forums all in one place.

Bye Week:

My guy, Kelley Ford, has UConn over performing expectations by about 2.5 wins.

Speaking of Mr. Ford, he gives UConn an 89% chance of winning 8 games.

Kelley Ford Ratings

Another one of my guys, Parker Fleming, publishes a “Did We Really Get Beat That Bad?” chart each week, and for the first time in a Husky win this year, it was pretty much dead even.

Brett McMurphy reminding us all how bleak it has been, but it could always be bleaker.

UConn’s defense has been much improved, but just how much? Max Olson has the answer.

Syracuse Week:

Circa Sports has the Huskies opening as an 9 point underdog, which is less than CBS/FanDuel’s 11.5 open.

Former T Ryan VanDeMark made his first NFL start for the Bills against the Chiefs Sunday.

Ford’s rating has the Huskies 87th nationally, lower than ESPN’s FPI (83), and SP+ (78)

It's been the best season since 2010. Despite that, Bill Radjewski says the Huskies are among the nation’s  unluckiest. Conversely, Syracuse is the luckiest.

Parker Fleming’s website, collegefootballinsiders.com, has a tool where you can generate a game preview between any FBS team. Here is the Syracuse preview, which has the Orange winning by a couple TDs, and I think that’s fair.

College Football Insiders

CBS Sports has the Huskies 60th in their 1-134 College Football Rankings

Former Husky Kevens Clercius played in the CFL championship game, the Grey Cup last night. His Winnipeg Bombers lost 41-24, but Clercius had three catches for 24 yards.
