With both teams scoring over 1.20 ppp and shotmaking reigning supreme, most of the players had a negative defensive impact score. McNeeley registered as UConn’s best player, with Karaban, Reed, Diarra and Ball not far behind. Karaban had the worst defensive score, which I’ll discuss in the small ball film section below.
