Spring Position Breakdown - DL

DL has been a position of strength the past couple seasons for UConn, and that should continue in 2024. After losing 3^rd draft pick Travis Jones after the 2021 season, guys like Dal’Mont Gourdine, Eric Watts, and Jelani Stafford stepped up. Now the unit will be losing Watts, a projected 6th-7th round pick in this year’s draft. No matter, as the Huskies return Gourdine, Stafford, as well as Pryce Yates, who had a breakout end of 2022 and played well in 2023 in a starting role.
