UConn wins on Geno's B-Day to set up Syracuse matchup

The 3-seeded UConn Huskies took care of 14-seed Jackson State on Saturday, 86-64, as Paige Bueckers scored a team-high 28 points while freshman Ashlynn Shade notched a career-high 26 points.

“Ash is that third today, and that’s huge going forward,” head coach Geno Auriemma said after the game.

The Huskies mounted a 17-0 run early on to build their buffer and held on for the victory. They’ll host 6-seed Syracuse on Monday at 6 p.m. ET.
