Husky OL Earns Invite to NFL Combine

February 14, 2025

The NFL announced 329 players to participate in the 2025 NFL Combine, and UConn T Chase Lundt was the lone Husky selected to participate. Lundt was a reliable piece on the Husky OL, starting 49 games over his career, missing just one game. He was also chosen to participate in the Reese’s Senior Bowl Game, however he missed the February 1st contest due to an injury suffered in the Fenway Bowl.

At 6’8 305, the Arlington, TX native was considered by some an undersized recruit when he committed to UConn in 2019 as a two star recruit. He added more than 40 pounds since then, but some draft prognostications believe he still has too lean a frame. However, he has good athleticism, and will be an asset to teams running wide zone concepts. At the time of this announcement, Lundt is rated by several services as a 3rd to 4th round selection.

The results at UConn speak for themselves, as the Husky ground game exploded this season, averaging 192.7 rushing yards per game, while allowing a 13th best nationally 1.07 sacks per game. The 2,590 yards rushed was the second highest total in school history, behind the 2008 Huskies, who had 1st round pick and 2,083 yard rusher Donald Brown.

The NFL Combine begins in Indianapolis on February 24th through March 3rd, however, fans can begin watching on February 27th on NFL Network and NFL+. The 2025 NFL Draft takes place at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI April 24th through the 26th.
