UConn men’s basketball’s first public appearance has its head coach a bit anxious, as Dan Hurley indicated that some starting positions are still up in the air.
The Maryland native was a four-star recruit who originally committed to Boston College but ended up starting his college career at Charlotte. He came to UConn as part of a large incoming transfer class and has already made his presence felt in a big way.
The two players are at different stages of their careers, but both are in key positions with a chance to make a serious impact over the rest of this season. If UConn can continue to improve its tackling, the defense will be in a good place.
Over the last two seasons, the Huskies have benefitted from having two quality bigs on the roster. This year should be no different, though we may see more of an even split in playing time between the two.
With new coordinators on both sides of the ball, a new defensive scheme, and a new presumptive starter at QB, UConn football expects to have a different look in 2024.
