Wiffle® Ball Founder David N. Mullany Got His Start in Storrs

An afternoon of Wiffle® Ball is one of the rites of American summer. The now 72-year-old ball has been enjoyed in many spaces and in many different ways. Every year, the white plastic ball with the eight oblong holes on top takes up residence in front yards, backyards, and between passing cars on public streets. The versatile ball is just as familiar with parks, beaches, and gymnasiums.
