UConn deals with sour ending after a sweet ride to the Final Four

UConn women’s basketball has been this-close to glory many times during the current championship “drought” it’s experiencing.

After four losses in the Final Four over those years, and being on the wrong end of multiple buzzer-beaters, they made the championship game in 2022, only to fall short again. They responded to last year’s Sweet 16 exit by toppling 1-seed USC in a gusty Elite Eight triumph to make the program’s 23rd Final Four.
