WASHINGTON DC — UConn men’s basketball came out on top on Saturday afternoon against Georgetown despite losing the rebounding battle, shooting 5-of-26 (19%) from three, and allowing the Hoyas to hit 44 percent from the field while posting its worst single-game shooting performance of the season. They also got only nine points from their bench.
“We just willed it. We gutted it out,” head coach Dan Hurley said afterwards.
