Andre Drummond
In the biggest upset of the 2026 NBA postseason so far, the seventh-seeded Philadelphia 76ers shocked the second-seeded Boston Celtics 109–100 in Game 7 in Boston on Saturday, completing a 3–1 series comeback in the Eastern Conference first round of the NBA postseason.
Drummond played just eight minutes in the series finale as the 14-year veteran recorded one rebound and one block and is headed to the second round of the NBA postseason for the first time in his career. Previously, Drummond made the playoffs with Detroit Pistons (2016 + 2019), Los Angeles Lakers (2021), Brooklyn Nets (2022).
The 76ers became the 14th team in NBA history to win a series after trailing three games to one. The Detroit Pistons, who drafted Andre Drummond ninth overall in the 2012 NBA draft, became the 15th team in NBA history to complete a 3–1 comeback, defeating the Orlando Magic 116–94 in Game 7 on Sunday.

Azzi Fudd
For the first time since UConn throttled South Carolina 82-59 in the 2025 National Championship game, Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd were back on the floor together as teammates. Fudd finished with four points on 2-of-7 shooting, adding one assist in 16 minutes. Meanwhile, Bueckers scored 20 points on an efficient 8-of-12 shooting from the field, including 4-of-6 from three in 20 minutes of action. Both Fudd and Bueckers started as the Wings defeated the Fever, 95–80.
On Sunday, Bueckers nearly recorded a double-double with 11 points and nine assists, while Fudd scored 12 points in a 101–84 Wings victory against the Las Vegas Aces.

George Springer
On Saturday afternoon, George Springer took a pitch off his left foot against Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Connor Prielipp in the top of the third inning. Springer left the game and did not return.
It was the same foot Springer fouled off and fractured a toe on April 11th, also against the Twins, which caused the Blue Jays’ designated hitter to miss 15 games. Springer, who had just returned to the lineup on Wednesday, underwent X-rays that revealed no new damage from the hit-by-pitch, according to Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca.
On Sunday. Blue Jays Manager John Schneider said, “hopefully he’ll be alright in a day or two.”
