Ryan Manalac assumes control of the UConn defense

This April’s spring game wasn’t Ryan Manalac’s first at Rentschler Field. He’d visited twice as a linebacker for the Cincinnati Bearcats, then a conference rival of UConn’s. He went 3-1 against the Huskies in his college career. In that one loss, he recalls a “great stadium atmosphere” at the Rent and that they “struggled to stop Donald Brown that day.
