While the transfer portal was an option for Geno Auriemma to fill his roster up for the upcoming season, Auriemma has elected once again to look overseas, securing a commitment from 5’10” French shooting guard Marine Dursus.

Dursus has been an active participant in competitions for both club and country. For the French National Team she has been with the squad competing in both world and European youth competitions dating back to 2021. Most recently with France was an appearance at the Under-20s Women’s Eurobasket where she averaged 13.8 points per game with five game appearances.

For her club,Union féminine Angers Basket 49, she has appeared in 26 total games this season in France’s La Boulangère Wonderligue, the country’s top division for women’s basketball, and Eurocup. Across both competitions the majority of Dursus’ shots have come from behind the arc where she has shot 33-92 for 35.9%.

This past season the Huskies welcomed in Blanca Quiñonez who comes from a similar background from her time playing in Europe, including playing at the same 2025 Eurocup as Dursus. The Huskies will be hoping to get similar levels of immediate impact from Marine Dursus as they were able to get from Quiñonez this season.
