It’s a great day to be a Connecticut Husky fan, as the reigning National Champions acquired F Serah Williams in the transfer portal on Wednesday, per her Instagram.

Williams, having spent 3 fantastic seasons in Wisconsin, is coming off a campaign where she averaged 19.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks during the 2024-25 season under former UConn assistant Marisa Moseley. With numbers like that, it was no surprise that she became one of the top frontcourt transfer portal options when she announced her decision to leave following Moseley’s departure.

Throughout the offseason, Williams was scouted by several top teams, including LSU, North Carolina, and Connecticut. The Tigers, in particular, made it a truly competitive recruiting battle, hosting the former Badger on a multi-day visit in Baton Rouge.

However, Williams kept her options open and made sure to check out the Huskies. Storrs Central can confirm that she visited with UConn on April 28th and 29th, along with former USC G Kayleigh Heckel.

With the addition of Williams, UConn immediately upgrades its post options alongside both Jana El Alfy and Ice Brady. With her skill and experience that made her one of the top post players in the Big Ten Conference last season, she’ll aim to help the Huskies add their 13th National Championship.
