Block C Builds on Recruiting Momentum with Six New Additions
After a strong start to the 2026 recruiting season, adding three players during the first weekend of official visits, UConn continued to build momentum by landing six more prospects following another busy visit weekend in Storrs. Now up to nine commits overall—just three shy of last season’s high school recruiting total—the Huskies still have a few spots to fill, specifically at DE, LB, and some skill positions. Take a look below at the newest Huskies.
A consensus three-star recruit, who would be the 13th rated prospect in school history per 247, Jones is a big piece in this recruiting class. An EDGE/LB, Jones chose the Huskies over six other schools; Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, Buffalo, UMass, and Illinois. Jones had 51 tackles, thirteen for loss, according to MaxPreps, plus six sacks, and two forced fumbles and recoveries this season for his Millville HS team, and should compete for an EDGE position that will see Donovan Branch graduate this year.
The second RB in the class after Jayden Fox committed, Greaves attends St Thomas More in Oakdale, CT, a program that sends several players a year to FBS programs, including two current Huskies in Ben Murawski and Chris Hudson. Highly athletic with 4.4 40 speed, Greaves chose the Huskies over offers from James Madison, UMass, Delaware, and Buffalo, plus many FCS offers.
The first DB in the class to commit, but certainly not the last, Dash is supremely athletic, posting a 4.46 40, 4.35 shuttle, 28.2” vertical, and 9.3’ broad jump at a recent camp. The 6’1” 186 DB from Lake Gibson, FL earned his first offer from the Huskies over two years ago, and since then has received offers from Florida Atlantic, Marshall, FIU, South Florida, UMass, App State, and Southern Miss, plus some FCS offers. Dash is a dual-sport athlete, also participating in track and field. Currently not rated by 247Sports or Rivals, On3 seems to be impressed with Dash, giving him an 87 grade, the highest of any Husky so far.
Fuller is an interesting prospect. Standing at 6’6” 230, he has tremendous size for the position, even if he may need to add a bit of weight to his frame. The Harrisburg, PA native also has offers from Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Navy, and San Diego State, in addition to many FCS offers. Fuller was also scheduled to visit Holy Cross. Fuller caught 16 passes for 143 yards this past season, plus five TDs. Also a basketball player, Fuller averaged 5.7 ppg, and 4.6 rpg. Playing for Bishop McDevitt, a traditional PA powerhouse, Fuller led the Crusaders to a PIAA 5A championship, catching five passes for 36 yards in the championship game.
A prospect at a high area of need, Ard chose the Huskies over offers from nearly every school in the Sun Belt, plus other G5 programs, and was scheduled to visit Liberty, Western Kentucky and East Carolina. Ard was 1st team All-Region, totaling 123 tackles, 24 for loss, nine sacks, and a forced fumble, fumble recovery, and pass breakup. He had a season-high 15 tackles twice; once in a 63-48 loss to Lee County, the other in a 63-12 win over Lakeside. He’ll be stepping into a LB group that’s losing several players this offseason, giving him a chance to compete immediately.
Another St Thomas More prospect, Brown was actually recruited in last year’s class by UConn, but Brown committed to Coastal Carolina in June of 2024. That fell through, and Brown did a post-grad year, reclassifying to the 2026 class and joining St Thomas More. Since coming to The Lake, he’s received offers from Syracuse, Wake Forest, and UMass. Brown is a candidate to fill in on the interior DL, standing at 6’4” 270. With so much attrition last year and this upcoming offseason, Brown fills an immediate need.
