The NFL Draft came and went for some UConn NFL Draft hopefuls, including Joe Fagnano, Chris Freeman, Louis Hansen, Donovan Branch, Devin Pringle, and Connor Stutz, without their names being called. They’ve all been invited to rookie camp in May, where they’ll get a chance to start their road to the pros.

After leading the way for a passing attack that pushed UConn to eight wins, Bell earned a 4th round selection from the Buffalo Bills, while Fagnano is heading to the Baltimore Ravens on a mini-camp invite.

Fagnano set a UConn single-season record for passing yards (3,448) while completing 69 percent of his attempts in 2025, throwing just one interception with 28 touchdowns. He opted out of the Fenway Bowl against Army as a shorthanded Husky squad dropped the season’s final game without its head coach and with a handful of starters sitting.

Fagnano was in his seventh college season after waivers and a COVID year, having transferred to UConn after starting college at Maine. In Baltimore, he may have a chance to earn a third-string or practice squad role as the team currently has just two QBs on the roster. He went undrafted despite participating in the 2025 NFL Combine.

Freeman began his career at Indiana before transferring to UConn in 2024 and spending two seasons in Storrs. He was a perfect 101-of-101 on extra points as a Husky and hit 23-of-26 field goal attempts in his final season, setting a program record for consecutive field goals made during the campaign. He’ll be at the Houston Texans mini-camp.

Tight end Louis Hansen, a Massachusetts native and former transfer from Michigan, is one of three Huskies heading to Kansas City Chiefs mini-camp along with punter Connor Stutz and linebacker Donovan Branch. Hansen was part of a platoon at tight end who was also used in a fullback-style role.

A Florida native, Branch spent his entire college career at UConn, getting on the field immediately. He posted 5.5 TFL last season.

Cornerback Devin Pringle will be at Chicago Bears mini-camp. Pringle started his college career with four years at Grand Valley State, a D2 power in Michigan, before spending his final year at UConn.

Among former Huskies who finished their college careers elsewhere, TE Justin Joly was picked in the 5th round by the Denver Broncos, while DE Nate Voorhis signed with the New York Jets, and Keelan Marion signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a UDFA. Those three last played for NC State, Ball State, and Miami, respectively.
