UConn kept up their hot streak on the weekend adding talented St Thomas More product George “Juice” Richards. The New York City native will reclassify into the Class of 2026 and be added to the roster for this upcoming season.

Richards had a productive CT HS Prep Showcase, earning offers from UMass, Tulane, Bowling Green, and Boise State after that day. Prior to the Showcase, he had offers from Temple, Old Dominion, and Syracuse, plus many FCS schools. He visited Boise State last weekend, and was scheduled to visit Temple on June 12th.

Richards has great size and 6’3” 207 lbs, and is a versatile and physical safety. At the Prep Showcase, he was the vocal leader of his St Thomas team. Being one of his first offers, UConn will hope the relationship they’ve built will help fend off some of the newcomers.

Richards told Storrs Central “I wanted to go somewhere with good coaching and home-feel, and after today I just felt like it was home.”
